FAQ
What is screenprinting?
Screenprinting is a process where your artwork is exposed onto a mesh screen using light-sensitive film, then used to press ink directly onto your garment — one colour at a time. It's the industry gold standard for long-lasting, high-quality prints. Whether you’re keeping it simple or stacking multiple colours, this method delivers durable results with strong visual impact.
What is your minimum order or MOQ?
This can vary by product type. Our minimum for in-house services (screen print, embroidery, or sewing) is 24 units per style. At this quantity, you can mix sizes and garment colours, with a limit of two colour splits (e.g., 12 and 12). In some cases, mixing garment types may also be possible. For accessories, the minimums typically start at 50 units per style.
What are your lead times or turn around times?
This can vary by service or product type. Our lead times for in-house services (screenprint, embroidery, or heat press) are 10-15 business days from proof approval and deposit payment. Our lead time for accessories and finishing services like sewing are typically 20-25 business days.
What kind of file do you need for artwork?
We prefer vector files (.AI, .EPS, .PDF) or high-res files at 300dpi+. If you don’t have the right format, no worries — we offer art prep services that can be added to your order to get everything production ready.
How many colours can I print?
We can print up to 6 spot colours per location, but if you’re going full-colour or need blends and gradients, we use SIM or CMYK printing to go beyond the limit. We’ll guide you to the best option based on your artwork.
What’s the largest size I can print?
Our max print size is 15" w x 20" h, and that’s our ceiling. Have bigger dreams? Let us know what your goal is — we can talk you through the options. When sizing your artwork, keep two things in mind:
• The smallest elements in your artwork and how they'll translate on press.
• The smallest garment in your order — because a design sized for an XL won’t always work on an XS.
Can I bring my own garments?
Yes — but there are a few things to know. The minimum for customer-supplied garments is 24 units, and some fabrics (like nylon, terry, or super-stretchy materials) may not be printable in-house. We’ll review what you’ve got and let you know if it’s a fit.
What inks do you offer?
We use plastisol ink for all screenprinting — it’s vibrant and durable. You can also choose from specialty inks like puff, metallic, glow-in-the-dark, reflective, tonal, and neon. Not sure what’s best? We’ll help you pick.
Can you print photo-style or gradient designs?
Absolutely. We use CMYK for full-colour prints and SIM for detailed designs that need tonal range. We’ll recommend the best process for your specific artwork and garment colour.
Can I print over seams, zippers, or pockets?
Yes, we can — but we don’t always recommend it. We're set up to support zipper prints, but some areas can distort the artwork or impact the final quality. Share your artwork and intent with us early on — we’ll guide you toward the cleanest possible result.
What types of garments can you print on?
Cotton and cotton-blend garments are our go-to — they print best and hold up beautifully. We can also print on polyester (like jerseys or activewear) using special ink bases to prevent issues like dye migration. Not sure what’ll work? Share your garment and we’ll guide you to the best print method — or suggest embroidery or heat press if screenprinting isn’t the move.
Do you offer oversized or specialty placements?
Our max print size is 15" w x 20" h, and that’s our ceiling. Have bigger dreams? Let us know what your goal is — we can talk you through the options.
Most placements are possible — it just depends on your artwork and intent. Since screen printing is a manual process, expect slight variances in placement. We’ll review your mockups and make sure the layout hits the mark.
